How to Properly Maintain your Belmont Dental Chair

All Belmont dental chairs follow a uniform cleaning procedure to ensure consistency and ease of maintenance. However, the new Eurus chairs have specific instructions tailored to their advanced design. For detailed instructions on EURUS maintenance, please check out

our blogs on the Eurus S6 and Eurus S8.

Approved Cleaning Agents

All Belmont Dental Chairs come with a 5-year parts and labour warranty, this ensures that the manufacturer will repair or replace any defects in materials or workmanship within a certain period. Recommended cleaners are formulated to be safe for their surfaces, preventing chemical damage, discolouration, or cracking. For this reason, it is crucial to use the recommended surface and upholstery cleaners; otherwise, the warranty may be voided.

See the list of approved Belmont cleaning agents below.

Cleaning and Disinfecting the Exterior Surfaces of the Chair

Routine Cleaning and Disinfection:

  • Use a soft cloth or paper towel moistened with a Belmont Approved Cleaning Agent to wipe down the surface. (Alpro PlastiSept Eco or Durr FD366)

  •   Follow with a dry cloth to remove any remaining moisture.

For Excessively Dirty Surfaces:

  • Moisten a soft cloth with a water solution containing approximately 10% neutral detergent.

  • Wipe the exterior with the cloth to remove dirt.

  • Follow up by wiping with a cloth moistened with plain water.

  • Dry the surface completely with a dry cloth to finish.

Control Panels and Metal Parts:

  • Wipe clean using a dry soft cloth.

  • Do not clean these parts with a wet cloth because they are readily affected by moisture and water.

  • Wipe off all moisture immediately. Water left on these parts will result in rust or malfunction of electronic parts.

You can follow these same steps for cleaning the leather upholstery. However, take these precautions:

  • Avoid organic solvents, abrasive detergents and bleach, as these can damage the leather's texture and gloss.

  • Do not spray detergent directly onto the leather or chair surface.

  • Instead, moisten a soft cloth or paper towel with a Belmont approved leather cleaning agent (Durr FD360), wipe the surface, and then dry it with a clean cloth.

  • Ensure the detergent is fully dried before using the chair to prevent any risk of malfunction.
